Noticeboard

Following a misleading article from a local newspaper regarding the closure of Healthaction Practices one of which shares Grey Road’s premises at Breeze Hill Health Centre, below is some information regarding their closure from Liverpool CCG, please be assured that this closure does not involve Grey Road Surgery we will continue to operate as usual.................PLEASE SCROLL DOWN.......

Update on Healthaction practice closures

In April 2017 NHS Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) awarded contracts for the management of four GP practices to Healthaction, a not-for-profit organisation. Healthaction has given notice to the CCG that it will be ending these contracts, as problems recruiting doctors on a long-term basis mean that it can no longer offer the service that patients need.

The practices affected are: Healthaction Breeze Hill, Rice Lane, L9; Healthaction Robson Street, Mere Lane Neighbourhood Health Centre, L5; Healthaction Stanley Road, Stanley Road, L5; and Healthaction Childwall, Fiveways Health Centre, Childwall Road, L15. They will close by 14 September 2018 at the latest. All four Healthaction practices are in the same buildings/health centres as other GP practices but none of the other practices in these buildings are affected.

Healthaction patients do not need to take any action for the time being – they can continue to use their practice as usual. NHS Liverpool CCG is currently working with local practices to agree a process for transferring patients – as soon as this is agreed all patients will receive a letter from the CCG telling them what will happen next. If patients have any questions in the meantime they can call NHS Liverpool CCG on 0845 111 0692 between 10am and 12pm or 2pm and 4pm, Monday to Friday. Any questions about appointments should be directed to their practice as usual.

All patients have the right to choose a different GP practice if they would prefer. You can search for GP practices close to where you live at www.nhs.uk, or you can call Healthwatch Liverpool on 0300 77 77 007 or email enquiries@healthwatchliverpool.co.uk and ask them to let you know where your nearest GP practices are. Once you have found a practice you want to register with just contact them to say that you would like to become a patient – they will let you know what happens next.
